A little about me: My son and daughter are my greatest source of pride and joy. They are both grown and live outside of the area but I get to see them often! I have been teaching for 20 years and started with the sixth grade. I've taught History, Math and English. The benefit of being a Junior High teacher is the offering of exploratory classes. These classes should be glimpses into possible career avenues or hobbies for students. Due to my love of creating food and consuming it, I started creating a foods exploratory 13 years ago. I wanted to expose students to the health benefits of good food and to teach them a few basic skills along the way. It has morphed into a full time curriculum with endless possibilities and a lot of fun interactive lessons.
Some people 'eat to live' and others 'live to eat'. I'm sure you can guess which one I am.
I agree with Julia Child - "People who love to eat are always the best people."
